Join the program

The Edu4Chip program is implemented locally by each partner university. While the program shares a common vision and structure, admission and enrollment procedures are handled independently by each institution.

To join as a student, you must apply directly to the relevant degree program at the university of your choice. Below, you can find specific information about each university’s admission procedures (as a link to their program page). You can also see how Edu4Chip is implemented in more detail across the universities at the Program and curriculum page.


Technical University of Munich (TUM)

A new Master's program, Microelectronics and Chip Design, is being developed at TUM with two specialization tracks: Analog/Mixed-Signal and Digital Design. The program includes the full Edu4Chip chip design tape-out experience across four semesters.

KTH Royal Institute of Technology

At KTH, Edu4Chip is embedded in the Embedded Systems Master’s program, especially within the Embedded Electronics track. It focuses on System-on-Chip design, encompassing the full design flow from specification to tape-out.

Technical University of Denmark (DTU)

Tampere University (TAU)

TAU delivers Edu4Chip through its Master’s Programme in Computing Sciences and Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in System-on-Chip Design. Students work on both front-end and back-end design with strong links to industry.

Institut Mines-Télécom (IMT)

At IMT Mines Saint-Etienne, Edu4Chip is offered in the final two years of the ISMIN engineering curriculum, with digital or analog focus in the ASIC track. A new post-master’s program in Microelectronics Circuit Design starts in October 2025.
